NEW YORK (Tstrich.com) - The New York Knicks battled to a surprising 112-107 overtime victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday, Nate Robinson leading the home team with 32 points and 10 rebounds.

The guard's driving layup with 20 seconds remaining forced the extra period before he added six more points in overtime as New York outscored the Spurs 10-5 to end a six-game losing streak.

"You kind of expect that out of him every night," Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni told reporters after Robinson's big fourth-quarter and overtime.

Robinson, the winner of the slam dunk contest at last weekend's NBA All-Star Game called the win big for the team.

"It boosts our confidence going into the next game, and on top of that the last couple of games we should have won," he said.

"We still have our eyes on the prize, trying to make this playoff run."

The Knicks (22-31) are nine games below .500 but remain just 3 games out of the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

Wilson Chandler and Chris Duhon added 17 points apiece for the Knicks and David Lee contributed 13 points and 12 rebounds. Al Harrington also had a double-double, scoring 11 points to go with his 10 rebounds.

Tim Duncan led San Antonio (35-17) with 26 points and 15 rebounds, while Roger Mason added 20 points for a Spurs team playing without an injured Manu Ginobili, who was back in Texas receiving treatment on a sprained right ankle.
